Supported Living Services

As one of the UK’s leading independent providers of support for people with learning disabilities, complex needs, autism and mental health conditions, New Option Support is on hand to help you with individual needs.

New Option Support is currently registered with the CQC for supported living and personal care.

All of our innovative services are focused on supporting people to be as independent as possible within their own homes and in their local community. It is our aim to support individuals in achieving their goals, believing passionately that every person, regardless of the challenges they face, can accomplish extraordinary achievements with just the right support. We believe that everyone has the right to individually tailored support, whether they need a 4:1 staff ratio or a few hours a week to be supported with their tenancy.

Developing independence skills

We support and encourage individuals with everyday tasks, including personal care, housing related tasks, household chores, grocery shopping and managing their money. We make it possible for people to access local facilities such as leisure centres and libraries, as well as helping them to fulfill their education or employment wishes. We are also able to plan and support people to go on holidays, trips to the theatre, football matches etc.

We understand that people may wish to use a personal budget, direct payment or Self Directed Support (Scotland) to pay for New Option Support staff to provide support. We are able to work with individuals and their advocates to ensure that this is set up to meet the person’s needs.

Individual tailored support

Everything we do at New Option Support is guided by the people who use our services. The support we offer is tailored to the needs of each individual. We offer a flexible and person-centred approach which allows us to align our services with the unique needs of the people we support. We will ensure right from the beginning that you will know what we will do to support you and what our responsibilities are, which can include helping you with setting up your home and gaining a tenancy.

We have an enthusiastic and highly trained team of staff who work together to ensure that we provide consistency, continuity and quality support; to help service users develop and grow in order to reach their full potential.
